For the better or the worse, my life will change next week.
You may have noticed the "Hire me!" link I put up on my blog. I'm really interested in doing more speeches and getting my name out there. I want to spread the good kinky word and try to dispel stereotypes people have of BDSM, leather, fetish, and kink. Making a little money in the process wouldn't hurt either.
Next week I'll be at two trade shows to try to sell myself as a kinky speaker. Topics I'm advertising include BDSM, leather, rubber, bondage, safety and basic education, as well as the "next guard" of kink. These trade shows are marketing to Colleges and Universities, a demographic I can relate to because I'm not far off from college myself. It's called NACA - the National Association of College Activities.
Next week, I will have contact with people from over 150 different schools. I'm hoping I can secure some bookings, because it's been rather spendy to get involved with all of this. Travel, registration fees, the cost of having banners printed, etc. all has added up. But even if I don't book a single one, I guarantee you that my life will be very different one week from today.
So I hope SOMEONE out there things I have something to say that's worth bringing to their campus!
